Love this! Couldn’t agree with you more on buttery chard, my favourite behind an Alsace Gewurtztraminer. Learned a lot reading this, particularly about the naming of region, appellation etc. cheers!

I really loved this post! The vignette of the couple in the bar - I felt I could relate to them, you, Elena loved the idea of “passing the baton”. And then, your breakdown of how to read a wine list: I sometimes think of the importer as like a record label. It was such a breakthrough for me to understand that if it said Kermit Lynch on the bottle I had decent odds. I loved reading this!
